»Open borders, open legs!«
The Visitor is the latest bodily-fluids-rich chapter in the oeuvre of Bruce LaBruce – the pioneering, extravagant queercore / punk provocateur long-wooed by the artistic elites, whose work is in permanently productive oscillation between trash and high culture. The fun here begins when suitcases wash ashore in London; dozens of identical Black men emerge from them and seek shelter in the homes of wealthy Brits. After these visitors have been taken in, the families’ bourgeois sons, daughters, mothers, and fathers are penetrated one by one – leading to transformations inspired by Pasolini’s Teorema.
