The film captivates its audience in the first scene with supposedly recognizable images. The viewer is tempted to follow familiar patterns of interpretation. However, these are constantly disturbed and interfered with unexpected turns: the focus is on two caracters who evoke the figures of “mother” and “whore”. But the film is way more complex. The film provokes and surprises in every scene anew. Two Bodies on the Beach leads us through surreal dream worlds, through space and time.
